Good Morning,
You may have missed part of what I have mentioned It works with jLog and
KB (both linux based). Neither of these programs use the HAMLIB for radio
control. I do have to use a script to set the com port for jLog. KB does it
right! The author of KB wrote the script for me.

I have tried to get hamlib to work on my SuSE 10.3 box with my FT-1000. I
have tried things as a root or the user. I do not get any difference. I am
using a FTDI Chip USB to TTL cable. The cable and radio work fine with the
logging software KB and jLog (jlog needs a special program). I believe the

I think the issue is simi;ar to mine (not tested), PC is not set to
UTC.. We have an offset in the program (logcfg.dat). I am
guessing that we have it set wrong or there is a bug. I will try
to test it later.

setting baud rate and uncommenting the radio control does work.
THANK YOU ALL
Since the HAMLIB is using the FT990/FT1000 radio for control, it wouild
be real nice to get it to work the way other OSs work. some thing
to play with ;-)
Does any one have a Stew Perry configured?

Hi Folks,
I have been playing around a bit more with with the FT-1000 under
TLF. I was given a patch for the hamlib. I added the patch and
started over.
CWDAEMON works
HAMLIB works ( tested with rigctrl and xlog)
TLF does not see the radio:

Good Evening,
With the help of CT1DRB, I finally have TLF, hamlib, and cwdaemon installed. Thank You Dave!!
It appears that the only thing that is not working is the HAMLIB for the FT-1000.
Does any one have this radio working with hamlib/tlf?? Any suggestions?

I am guessing it does not matter but, Does TLF care what desktop you use (KDE or GNOME).?
I am thinking of wiping my HD clean and retrying the install of TLF
(too many errors). I have been unsuccessful in getting it running.
I am a Linux novice and will be installing SuSE 10.. I know ncurses
OK, I am almost lost!! I may not get this working before the contest (family obligations).
I think I have the HAMLIB, CWDEAMON, TLF installed. I have tried to
look at documentation to check it out. I am missing something. I tried
to follow the instructions. Have not figured it out...
I will

Hi Folks,
Just starting to get into the Linux world and found the TLF program on
the WEB. Since I am a life TR user, I thought this would be cool to
look at. Between my lack of Linux skills and lack of time, this
has been a slow process
I am running SuSE 10 with all of the patches. I am also
