According to Hamlibs source code the Elecraft rigs are mostly handled by kenwood code. Send_morse for the K4 gets the same handling as other kenwood rigs with the padded space. As other Elecraft kits (K3, K3S, KX2 or KX3) are handled differently, please try if you can connect to your rig with one

Hi, in meantime I had a chance to check the report. Tested it with my TS-590 and an IC-705. I have to confirm your observations with the TS-590. After each single sent bunch of characters there is an additional space inserted. That affects the mentioned AUTOSEND function as well as the Ctrl-K key
