No, not really...I had tried to compile it and it didn't...
Actually I did not need it (PSk63 and RTTY is all you need :)
Moreover the interface is preliminary, it needs to be a socket instead
of files.

Yes, (UBUNTU eq Debian).
The pskmail wiki also has precise instructions for Mandriva. Sometimes
it helps to compare. Debian has its peculiarities regarding location of
files etc.(/usr/local/share vs. /user/share etc..).
Of course Debian is right :)

Just a thought, have you done 'touch PSKmailserver' in the home
directory? This tells gMFSK to work as as server modem!!

You can test if the hacked version of gmfsk-0.6 runs ok by doing:
echo "test" > gmfsk_autofile
from your home directory.
gMFSK should send "test", otherwise it does not work yet. From any other
directory you use
