It's not screensaver and it's not connected to power management but
security. What you see is screen lock.
You can change it in system settings, go to Desktop Behavior, then
Screen Locking and set Lock Screen After to N

I am running what I think is an updated F22 system, and as far as I
can tell, I have screen saver turned off. But if I am away, for not
sure how long it takes, my workstation goes to a screen for me to
enter my password to get back to my desktop.
I don't want that, not any screensavers nor any

Agreed, the screensaver screen ("the shield") behavior is sub-optimal. It
forces you to drag it up using a mouse or hit Esc. Nothing else works.
Plea
Apparently Anaconda is not installing the screensaver control applet.
Whatever, when Gnome times out Fedora hides the screen.
I could not find a way back short of Ctrl-Alt-F2 and rebooting.
Ntpd is still not being installed.
To top it off, I got an invisible cursor again, this time before
a yum

mclasen pointed me to this gnome-desktop3 update:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=263162
it fixes my issue, may well fix

Hi,
having very often the problem that the screen can't be locked by the
gnome-shell user menu or by the ctrl+alt+l key combination.
This seems to be related to a crashing (??) gnome-gnomesceensaver:
after having logged in, gnome-screensaver runs well (as child of
gnome-session), but after

downloading the whole update set. I o

After having installed gnome-screensaver-3.1.91-1.fc16 from bodhi, it's
no more possible to lock the screen with ctr+alt+l, nor with the lock
screen user menu entry.
By downgrading to gnome-screensaver-3.1.90-1.fc16 I get rid from this prob.
Anybody has similar problems?
Kind re
this well enough,
'gramma' would not need/want to change the screensaver or font. That's a
design issue, though, and not really relevant to the -test list; best to
take it to -desktop or upstream GNOME lists.

It is part of gnome-session and should be installed by default. Fixed

I must have missed that - and thank you - that is going to be very
useful (it is already!).

I've done a clean install of F15 alpha and so far, so good. How do I
get the screensaver configured? gnome-screensaver is configured, but I
don't see anything for it in the power app or in the control center.
