Before installation actually. But you are right. It is the loading of
the initrd.img of the installation that takes so long. And dureing that
time you don't see anything happening on the screen. So it;s easy to
assume that the system has frozen.

First time I encountered this I thought my computer hang, so I rebooted.
Is this normal behaviour? If so I suggest looking into this to see if it
