My system is an older Athlon FX-60 on a socket 939 nforce4 motherboard
with two SATA drives and one IDE hard drive
I wanted to install F18 on the IDE drive (140Gb WD) and went through
the steps and selected a number of packages to install
It appeared to installed just fine but when I went to boot i
Here is a list my notes (grievances)
1. Can't do anything without being connected to a network
2. Custom partitioning isn't working (known issue)
3. USB install isn't working (/dev/root not found, known issue)
4. Anaconda says CD/DVD drive selected as a installation source but
log says it's not a

Admittedly I have an unusual setup: F17, F16, Ubuntu, Slackware, Vector,
CentOs, Win7x86 and four hard drives
But it is odd that after install F17RC2 the default grub entry is for F17
with the Slackware kernel

Once again grub2 has installed dozens (at least 20) different entries in my
boot menu. I understand that Fedora is bleeding edge and not for the feint
of heart
I accept that and have no problem tweaking anything. But come on now! I
feel like I should just rewrite the mkconfig program.
My system is

Two things:
1) I used livecd-iso-to-disk to create an install USB and it worked until
anaconda got to examining storage devices (bz#728883), I don't want to have
to keep burning DVDs to test
2) Is there a way to activate wireless networking in anaconda? My only
network connection is wireless (Belki

I don't mean to brag (but I will) but has anyone gotten Fedora on a Google
Chrome Notebook. I know Ubuntu has been installed on it and there are plenty
of howtos on the "that" particular subject but can those instructions be
modified to fit Fedora? or rather can someone modify them. I haven't had t
Near perfect install of F14x86
Used the x86 install DVD (12 Oct, Anaconda 14.19)
Did not recognize my 8500GT and anaconda crashed, installed using
basic video drivers
Went faster than I had expected considering I added quite a few extra
packages, did not
add any additional repos during install but
When a critical path sits for any more than four weeks I suggest the
maintainer include test files and test cases
to help any tester. Things such as scripts/programs to test with, or
scenarios like do this and check that.

I have F12 and F13 DVD that I can install and test with, I think I
have a partition or two to test mdadm with as well.
