I'm pretty sure that before Fedora 39, typing an accented character (Italian keyboard) while the caps lock is active, will result in the uppercase version of such accented character (i.e. è -> È). It was an useful way to type accented capital letters instead of E'  Now it doesn't work anymore. Or
