I was trying to look at the system messages this evening, and this is what
I got...
[root@BurningBushes ~]# grep shell | /var/log/messages
-bash: /var/log/messages: Permission denied
It didn't display anything on my terminal window, and I had to do a
[Control] C to get out of it...

Doing a minimal install from the 17 Beta TC2 i386 DVD, all packages appear to be
downloaded instead of grabbed from the media. I'm pretty sure this didn't happen
with Beta TC1 since it makes the install much slower for me. Am not sure exactly
how to characterize the bug or what component to file ag

there are 2 situations where my gnome3 desktop sometimes freezes:
1. during opening the favourites bar (move the mouse pointer to top-left)
2. during a "yum update" inside a gnome-terminal (very weird)
Sometimes I have to wait for a lot of seconds until the freezing
finishes, but in most cas
