If you are on windows7, it maybe better for you to use VietOCR as the GUI frontend for tesseract. The commandline version of tesseract has not been updated while VIETOCR uses the newer engine. You can see https://tesseract-ocr.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/doc/tesseract.1.html for the command line
