Hello,
I have set up Apache. I was wondering if anybody could let me know as to
where I will have to put my web pages (like a simple page with no forms of
any sort). I heard that it has to be in the "htdocs" directory... Any
pointers will be very helpful and appreciated.

I have Apache web server running on Debian 2.2.9 and my web pages are
located under /var/www/username
for example, if you go to:
http://dsp73.dsp.uiowa.edu
you are looking at the index.html under my /var/www directory.
If you go to:
http://dsp73.dsp.uiowa.edu/couch
you will see my buddy's homepa

In one of the Apache config files (it's in my /etc/httpd/conf/srm.conf) find

first thing,you have to be root to run the modprobe command,disregard my post
if you tried it under root.

I use XDM on my system. When I login and try to "su - localuser" in
a xterm, I get the following message:
/dev/ttypc: Operation not permitted
