Dear experts please help.
I have installed ppp and it works. However as ordinary user I get strange
error messages.
Here my setup:
login : hols
I have created a group pppusers in which my login figures
more /etc/group
...
pppusers:x:101:hols,nagie,root
the files for ppp look as follows
-rw
You're bringing back some memories here. I first installed
Linux from SLS 1.0 back in 1993, and the complete system was
on 30 floppies, which I still have. :-)

if you'd like to have your ppp connection up all the time,in debian,you can do
it by mv /etc/ppp/no_ppp_on_boot to /etc/ppp/ppp_on
Okay. So I got ppp working, and IP masquerading and ipchains all set up.
So, I wanted to get a file from a remote computer where I have stuff
stored. I ftp'ed (don't mention security, okay...) and got the file I
wanted. The first time, it stalled after 600k. The second time, it
stalled after 1
I think this may have bounced the first time I sent it.
