[techtalk] ppp as user: still strange problems

Dear experts please help. I have installed ppp and it works. However as ordinary user I get strange error messages. Here my setup: login : hols I have created a group pppusers in which my login figures more /etc/group ... pppusers:x:101:hols,nagie,root the files for ppp look as follows -rw

Okay. So I got ppp working, and IP masquerading and ipchains all set up. So, I wanted to get a file from a remote computer where I have stuff stored. I ftp'ed (don't mention security, okay...) and got the file I wanted. The first time, it stalled after 600k. The second time, it stalled after 1
