Hey Telsa, I've found thru experience that on-board sound is a real b*&%# to setup. Usually if it doesn't mimic one of the listed types in sndconfig you have to try OSS drivers. Even then it doesn't always help, usually I at that point go out and buy a SB, and turn off the sound in the bio
