there some magic step I'm missing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I know this is not a security list per se, but I'm just trying to dig up
some info. Has anyone ever come accross an exploit that leaves the tags of
oSmoZe and/or XXLChamp as directories?

power that I need to forget X and stick with the beloved CLI.)

WinLinux2000 (winlinux2000.com) does not explicitly say it will or won't
work with NT, so I gave it a shot, but so far I've not had a great deal of
luck with getting it to boot properly. Really, I'm just taking comfort in
the fact that I can do whatever the hell I wa
nder win9x, but I'm
looking from something that will work under NT as well. Any thoughts?

doing it till I switched shells, so I thought it might be related. (I
haven't tried switching back to see if that's it,

Agreed - I use a Dell (though not currently with *ix)Latitude and
have had great luck and performance from it, and I know 3 people
who've installed RH with no problem on their Latitudes.

Anyone know of a utility other than Partition Magic that will allow me to
shrink an existing NTFS partition(hopefully with minimal complications)?

I'm not sure about their linux support (although they do have a linux
fireall solution in their FAQ), but this is some pretty good freeware for

Anyone have any experience running any flavor of *ix on a Dell Latitude?
Any pitfalls, horror stories, grand successes? I'm going to hopefully be
doing the dual-boot thing (I don't even have the laptop yet).
thanx
