Hi,
I do periodic nmap scans on one machine that has some important services
installed on it. I have also installed GNOME on that machine. When I log on
to that machine, I do get the GNOME control panel to make the interaction a
little more colorful. A port scan conducted during my login session

Some of the machines are giving I/O error even on the
system partition , like /sbin or /etc and
the disk is sometime noisy .
I wander if other users of this kind of disk are having
similar problems.
