Well, I don't know much about what I'm doing to be absolutely truthful
(everything was quickly set up for me) but if it helps, when i connect i
type in the command 'ifup ppp#'.

There are *many* possible answers to your question. There is no one magical
place.
Never mind I found the file. It is ifcfg-eth0 (in
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts).
