Except startup issues (which I personally don't consider as big issue) I
don't see any real issue that could disqualify Tap 4 as production quality
software. You should be convinced by the extensive unit tests effort that
were put into Tap 4 development. We're currently using it in a production

Hi Geoff,
How could you be sure he has Kent's book? In any case you're doing a good
job for Kent. :-)

Halt dreaming, man. I wonder if there is any publisher that would want to
offer a contract for writing a book on a relatively unknown framework like
Hivemind.

I've done exactly this before and it worked for me. In other words placing

Hi Cui,
Don't even dream of it. There is currently no Spindle for Tap 4. Regarding
spindle for Tap 4, don't even dream to have a real bite into the meat before
end of 3rd quater of 2006. You could do without it though.

Howard,
You also said "No bashing of other frameworks." yet you went ahead and did
exactly that with this post at TSS:

That's not nice.

Howard,
This is really cheating! We are all grown ups and need no suggetions as to
how we should compose our e-mails. We are not babies that need to be spoon

I disagree with you on the point that there is no html in wicket. Aren't you
confusing yourself with the Echo framework? Wicket has the same templating
concept as Tapestry but unlike Tapestry there are no configuration files.
Every page is mapped onto a Java class.

Geoff,
While here could you finally make a comment as to when we might expect
Spindle for Tapestry 4? There have been a couple of questions about this on
this list that went unanswered.
We appreciate your hardwork on such a great product.

I don't think this poll is about Tapestry users but the question says: What
Web framework will your next project use? I guess the majority on this list
are already using Tapestry. So don't go vote just for the sake of using
Tapestry.

Being a presentation framework, I think it would be a bad idea to let

just happy with those leading and trailing whitespaces. It's up to your
logic layer to take care of such issues.

Dear Tapestry aficionados,
IBM has decided to bundle Tapestry with the next major release of its
application development environment, IBM WSAD 6.0. They claim they have
done extensive research on several open source web frameworks and found Tapestry to be
the best and superior in this area. They
