incivility.
Please be tolerant and considerate in your postings, and avoid insults.
If you do not understand a particular idiom, please don't use it.

I think that mailing lists work like football games in that respect. In

Yes.
The mailing lists are generally better than the nadir of a couple of years
ago and it's incumbent on us all to make sure they don't descend to that
state again. It is absolutely not ok to respond to someone who is tryi
Hello,
I know this is not a vote or anything close, but wanted to say I don't
think a ban, especially a month-long ban, was warranted by Frederik's two
last messages.
Maybe the problematic idiom was a bit harsh, but most of the posts

In the course of surveys, I fill in opening_hours of shops and other
venues. Sometimes though, they are not marked outside. Therefore, when
looking at a feature that lacks opening_hours other mappers and I
can't tell the reason. I've been thinking of a standardized way of
marking such cases, like:
Castle as in "a type of fortified structure built in Europe and the
Middle East during the Middle Ages by nobility".
Unfortunately obvious historic=castle fails - as it is defined and
used as "(often fortified) buildings from medieval and modern times"
and includes nearly everything - for example
