Hi ,
Today I went to map a small fort which more or less is in ruins thanks
to negligence by govt and environmental damage. I would like to call
the small POI's inside it as ruins . But it seems ruins tag is not
being rendered by mapnik . cloudmade's mapzen did show that option so
did JOSM but mapn

You are dealing with volunteers, it's a case of when someone gets round to it.
If you wish to try and speed things up, you could supply a mapnik
style sheet patch.

Yes I understand but was wondering if they needed additional info

Make sure you submit one patch per ticket, otherwise the entire patch
is likely to be rejected...

no the suggestion is that instead of historic=ruins one should say
historic=fort,
