Dry land is usually easy to see. Obviously it would be better to
survey it in person, but given the shallowness of the water that would
be impossible unless you used a hovercraft or kayak.

not for the natural ones.
Finally, is there a way of tagging saltwater lakes (i.e. lagoons)?
natural=water, water=saltwater?
Any suggestions?

hi,
Is there any tag for tagging geology of the ground: for example that it's
formed by clay, or by volcanic rocks...?
There are some tags in natural and personally I am in favour of a
landcover tag (which in case of vegetation
uot;you can use the local script for the default name tag" which implies
that name need not be in English.

Ditto. Though mapnik doesn't seem to render leisure=swimming_pool,
ng, then just map it as part of
the surrounding area.
What it is, is an often extensive man made environment designed for
decorative purposes. Much like a garden, really. But unlike the
leisure=garden concept, you're not really supposed to go inside i
bined with access=no
but this seems a bit like tag gymnastics to me.
Thoughts?

heard anyone use the word "football" or
