It sounds more like a water taxi. I'm not sure if that's a widely used term
in Europe, but they exist on some rivers here - you call up, it comes and
gets you. Not normally for bikes, but that still.

This may be a radical suggestion for OSM but I think POIs should be
removed from the map database and put in an external database. Each
POI should have an address and the address is used to match the POI to
the map.
This can also be extended to ref tags, which are a generalized
address, to add add

I had looked into this possibility, but it would be a novelty:
http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/search?q=water_bus shows not a single use.

Hi,
route=ferry doesn't mean regular service with timetable. Small ferries
crossing rivers are operating on demand. Also I think that no more
explanation is necessary. If you arrive at "ferry-terminal", and there
is no ferryboat, you have to call the number.

Thanks Henning and Martin,
My main concern was whether this is a "ferry" service, as it's on demand.
So that doesn't cause you problems. :-)
The remaining tagging is less of a problem.
The name of the service? It's most likely "Bragozzo Ulisse" (which is their
first boat; "bragozzo" is, or better
