The reasently approved Feature Public Transport says to use
public_transport=station for both, bus and railway stations. The wiki is
not updated yet.

I would say even child_care and kindergardens fit under this key.

i have changed the value from daycare to childcare, added a list of
some additional tags that can be used and rephrased the definition a
little bit, though i think it will never quite satisfy the different
definitions in every country.
i definitely didn't meant it to be a general tag which also in
