Hi there team. :)
So, apparently HTTP isn't really supported with the SWORD
InstallMgr... I've been looking around & trying to figure out what is
missing & I've discovered that there seems to be a sorta-framework for
HTTP in there, but it's half done... I'm looking at what is required
John,
Are you working directly in OSIS, or using USFM and then converting?
Presumably the text you are working on is the Irish ABN.
Thanks to Kahunapule Michael Johnson in PNG,
the KJV is available in USFM format (including deuterocanon) at

Hi.
I've been working on a Bible project for the last year or so and happened to
show it to a friend at church. He suggested that the sword mailing list may
be interested in it as you have put together a variety of different Bible
readers already. Although it's still very much under development (an
Hi all,
I'm preparing a commentary in OSIS, and have some feature requests :
* OSIS tables
* additional hi types: small-caps, underline, super, sub (small-caps
is most important of these, but I'd appreciate all four)
* markers. When processed, these currently add a generic dou
David,
The file was converted manually to USFM, with initial help from Daniel
Owens, who also suggested that I use Bibledit to convert to OSIS. Thanks
for the link to the KJVA. It allows me to see the 81 books instead of the
73 that I have been working on. The Greek Esther and Daniel extracts
I am using a sword module (ASV) to create my quotes for a paper (book
actually). How does one enter a sword module in the bibliography?
Thanks

I just installed it in Firefox 3.0.14 under Windows XP, along with Google
Gears.
The navigation method is novel, and makes a refreshing change from dropdown
menus or trees of folders.
Looks promising! This is my personal view - other CrossWire volunteers will
form their own opinions.

Greg,
I've been aware of the change up to v1.6, which is why I was a bit confused
with not being able to download it. I'm only using Windows and the default
Windows version is 1.5.11. I wouldn't know where to start to get Linux
working. Is it fair to say that I cannot use alt v11n in Windows a
I think those of us who are Windows users are regarded as "poor cousins" by
some CrossWire programmers.
I've been wondering for several months when someone would compile 1.6 for us
so we could just download the Win32 binary.

I just realized that I haven't yet posted any demo v11n modules for

Keep an eye on the other cross platform frontends. Some of those may
very well soon offer a Windows binary which links with 1.6 befo
Sorry David,
You had asked for this a while ago. If it was as simple as recompiling
against 1.6 to get v11n support, we would have done so already. BibleCS
does indeed compile against 1.6, and what is in SVN is also ALMOST av11n
aware. I wanted BibleCS to take advantage of the av11n features of

I think you may have that somewhat backwards. CrossWire itself makes
its source code available for download to everyone with Internet access,
Linux and Wind
I think there's a second perspective you can look at it from, which is in

On another hand, one could also point out that autotools is native to
