My name is Thomas Abthorpe, and I recently assumed maintainship of the Sword
port for the FreeBSD Group.
I completed the port upgrade to 1.5.8, and discovered it breaks on FreeBSD
4-latest i386 platform with curl-7.15.3. The error log can be viewed at

The vcppmake/vc7.1/libsword.vcproj seems to have problems. "Release
with ICU" configuration with vc7.1 has problems. stringmgr.cpp won't
compile. It appears the problem is that the Include paths are ok for
"Debug with ICU", but the "Release with ICU" is different, with
(obsolete?) references to Bor
I'm experiencing a problem with building libswordvc6.lib. The project
file libsword.dsp doesn't seem to work. The vc6 ide complained that
libsword.dsp was not generated by Visual Studio and wouldn't open it.
I was able to get the svn-1809 revision of libsword.dsp, which works.
Am I doing something

Now that the engine is released, is it time to put the NASB (Bible,
Greek and Hebrew lexicons) in the beta area?

Small words are not being indexed with Lucene. These can be of
theological significance. A phrase search against the Lucene index of
"in Christ" returns all verses with *Christ* in it.
