Hi Tom,
IIRC, There may also be font issues for the Xiphos Preview pane in modules that
need a special Unicode font.
The font selected in module options does not seem to extend its scope to the
Preview pane.
Displayed search results can be particularly bad in this scenario.

When I select SBL Hebrew and some font size in Xiphos or BibleTime, the

Hi Peter,
Yes, this is a bit frustrating but this is not something I personally had
planned to work on, partly because I don't have much experience in that area
and partly because any work would hopefully soon be superseded by
improvements in Android font support. Google seem to be improving font

I would think this would also be of interest to people wanting to use original
language texts.

Hi Martin,
Is there any plan for AndBible to do some font management? Basically a lot of
our Bibles are not usable on Androids as the fonts delivered alongside (unless
on roots the box) are so limited.
Even within the Latin range there are letters missing.
Arabic/Persian letters are practicall
There is now a beginning of a wiki page on Fonts.
A couple days ago, I encountered the "Linux Libertine" fonts. I find
this very useful because it has high quality characters for all of
Latin, Hebrew, and Greek. This is important to me especially due to
commentaries which intermix them all. E.g
Dear Friends of Gnome-Sword
I ahve just got online with mandriva and found Gnome-Sword for my Bible Study etc.
I wonder if it possible to have different fonts in in my Study-Pad, I use Greek fonts etc.
I would appreciate the use of Greek and some might use Hebrew fonts.
Also, I have several books

Hi Patrick,
The Greek texts are encoded in UTF-8 and it looks like that is what you
are displaying in the screenshot. You will need to either use a display widget
that can translate UTF-8 to its native encoding or do the translation
yourself. You will also have this problem with many of the oth

Patrick. When you make your SWMgr, try this line:
SWMgr myMgr(0, 0, true, new MarkupFilterMgr(FMT_RTF, ENC_RTF));

Could any of you people who have dealt with this issue help me out. I'm
trying to install some unicode fonts in X11 so that I can use non-Latin-1
modules with BT & GS. I am using RedHat 7.3 fresh install + Ximian. RH
uses xfs & obviously doesn't include DrakeFont.
I can get the fonts that I
