Well, that is a valid question. I just wanted to give a quick answer
to the one fact you stated that I know something about. While I could
download the Aleppo module, I can't try out the search -- I am using
Windows ME and sword doesn't support Unicode copy/paste on those
non-Unicode Wi

The module is called: "Aleppo" and its the Hebrew text... Its available on
crosswire, its not a locked or beta module?

That's normal. Sword occupies about 12-13 MB of RAM under Win ME as
well (on my machine). Can't comment on your searching problem, though

Running XP Prof. and 256 MB RAM, I was surprised it took so long... it then
froze...
I repeated the process:
1. Load Sword
2. Check Hide/Show Modules Aleppo
3. New Search Window
4. Change Bible to Aleppo
5. Change Language
