While I might expect that
idea to be laughed at in general society, I would have hoped that
anyone trying to spread the word of God would take it for granted.

Except that that's not where they belong. They were part of the KJV
Bible, the Vulgate, the Douay-Rheims, the Septuagint, etc., and (IMHO)
you can't really say you're providing those texts unles
changes would have
to be vetted by the project leaders; I'm asking whether there are any
reasons why such changes would be rejected out of hand as incompatible
with the goals of the Sword project?
