Are there any up-to-date versions of sword available for Debian? I've been
jumping through too many hoops trying to build from 1.5.5 or CVS on my Debian
system. (I can build normally, but not as a .deb)

Great thanks! I'll try it out when I get a chance... incidentally, I
noticed that GnomeSword from CVS has a Debian directory, but it's not
quite normal looking... I don't suppose that's quite ready to go eh?

Hey there,
Are there any up-to-date Sword and GnomeSword packages available for
Debian? The official Debian packages are pretty out-of-date even in
testing/unstable, and I can't get Sword to build using dpkg-buildpackage
(ref my previous post).

I'm trying to compile the source as Debian packages. I've tried both
1.5.5 and CVS. I used the command:
dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -uc -b
I get the following error at the end of the config output:
#cd apps/console/diatheke && ./configure --prefix=/usr
cd bindings/swig && ./configure
