God. At the same time, I don't think we can know which "original" text is
the absolute correct one ( 1:1 word correspondence with the original letter

I believe some entertain a certain fear that we just HAVE to have the
absolute real thing.
There are actually two fears that mix together sometimes:
1) We have to have the original or as close to it as possible or somehow
we'll be greatly deceived.
2) We can't have man messing with it (i.e. trans
It would be nice
that each document have sort of a "Next" hyperlink (where appropriate) so that
when you get to the bottom of a chapter or section you can immediately go to the

have to remember where you are.

Nice Post. As Christ was wont to do, a good illustration is capable of

As in all things there is a balance between that which is unrighteous and
righteous. It takes discernment. There are no formulae.
John Bunyan made money from his writings. Spurgeon's material was sold. If
you look at almost any author widely known for godliness when they wrote

personal property. Otherwise how could one steal?
Paying taxes is also an implied admission that the government does not own
everything.
It was considered wicked for one to give his property to the King. See King

A Christian loves the truth but can be ignorant. When he sees the truth he
will embrace it. So while I believe a person can be converted still

One of the very most foundational aspects of Christianity is that
I have often compared Stallman to socialism. While I think there are
practical benefits to the O.S. movement, I believe their is an ideology or
better a philosophy that tends to undergird it which is unbiblical, that is,
to own something is wrong. The socialist view is very analogous to an ant

Dear Nathan,
I think the scriptural principle of not muzzling the ox would have bearing
here. In this digital age it is quite easy for people to copy something
that is being sold and get it for free. The word of God is ours but those

I am in full agreement with the response. Timothy was exhorted to rightly
divide the word of truth. In order to do that he had to use discernment.
Paul also frequently uses the terminology of "sound doctrine". What is
sound and unsound? It is assumed that believers could know the difference.

Did you mean Gill as in John Gill? If so he is considered one of the better
commentators. I haven't read his stuff much but I hear he was a bit on the
hypercalvinist side compared to Spurgeon. He should definitly be included
though when you get a chance We all have error.

I have noted a
fair number of suggestions regarding an API for Python. Admittedly the
suggestion I have to make is very Windows centric but for Windows people it
would be a good one. Instead of creating a specialized API for Python, why
not provide a COM (IUnknown interface) with IDispatc
