I've mentioned in the past that the host -- a small VPS colo'd in Dallas
-- is very rarely down. It moves 15Gbytes/day by ftp and another 5+ by
http. Its availability/accessibility is superb.

Further to my previous message, I found that I couldn’t access the Xiphos
repository when I had a VPN connection.
After I disabled the VPN, I could access it again.
Not had this problem with any of the other repositories.
Changing to a different VPN server made no difference.

Hi David, I have had the problem with xiphos repo too. My issue was, that
my ISP was load balancing and so sent out my data on 3 different IPs
randomly. When I was put on a single IP the issue disappeared.
I know some software sees that as a security threat and blocks it.

Timmy

The Xiphos repository appears to be currently unavailable to front-end module
managers.
Neither Bishop nor PocketSword can find anything there after a refresh.
Is there something amiss with the server?
And - yes - I know that some front-ends don’t support map modules.

There is no image handling code in Sword itself. The engine code is
unaware of them. Nothing in the engine links against e.g. libjpeg or libpng.
