I will watch that page, but thanks for helping me with the syntax. I will see how it goes with the Perl script and decide what to do next. I expect to need to transform a few USFM Bibles in the next year or so. Where do I find USFMToOSIS? Google didn't list any hits. Daniel Chris Little wrot

[sword-devel] introducing Sword live support...

2008-06-04 Thread Chris Little
The positive result of the weekend's #sword sockpuppetry was that I looked into a number of web-based IRC clients and found one that I think might be usable for live support. The hope is that people who need support (either end users or developers) but who don't necessarily want to go through t

Ben, Never mind. I think I found it. I had to find the sword-1.5.11.tar.gz file on the ftp site. Why weren't the bindings in the ISO? Daniel Ben Morgan wrote: Hi Daniel, Building the bindings is essential - it's what lets Python talk to the C++ sword library. The problem here is that you

Ben, The Sword 1.5.11 ISO must not have the files you mention. I can't find any other directory called bindings/swig/package other than in the sword-svn directory. The SOURCE folder just has archives, and the sword-base archive in the root of the ISO doesn't have a bindings folder. I am not su

Hi Daniel, Building the bindings is essential - it's what lets Python talk to the C++ sword library. The problem here is that you haven't got the auto tools. There was a configure script shipped with the release. It should be in the bindings/swig/package directory. I'm not sure what the ISO looks

Ben, This is fantastic! It's a great step forward in terms of functionality--looking up Vietnamese words works perfectly, not to mention all the other functionality. I can't wait for the portable version so I can show it to some people I am working with. The website looks sharp; the download

With the ICU problems, what I have seen is crashing on certain transliterations at certain times (gcc giving errors like double free of memory detected). Also, some html markup is seen in the frames when certain transliterations are chosen. I think this is a problem with sword's ICU support, but I
