In usrinst.sh script there is line: CPPFLAGS="$CFLAGS $CPPFLAGS -DUSBINARY" ./configure $OPTIONS $* Try adding: CXXFLAGS="-O0" in the beginning of that line, run the script, then make. usrinst.sh script is not part of autotools, it's just added to make things simple if you don't want to read ./co
