You got my vote for number 3 as well that'd be really useful. -Will
3. Convert everything to UTF-8. Apps then need to convert to local, if
necessary. Small overhead in apps.

Hey Will,
Yeah, here's the 1.5.7 ChangeLog entries:
ftp://crosswire.org/pub/sword/source/v1.5/sword-1.5.7/ChangeLog
To expound on a few of these:
Not sure what filters you are using exactly, but the *HTMLHREF filters
in the engine are probably the most current. These have been updated

The Windows program is still at version 1.5.6, the version may be different
from the library.
An updated Windows program will be release with the next Sword source release,
1.5.8, I think.

Are there any precompiled W32 binaries of 1.5.7 available yet? I poked
through the FTP site yesterday and only saw source. I have no compiler
for Win.
Thanks,

Yes :) As soon as Troy has the time.

Hey all,
now that 1.5.7 is released, I'd like to propose a change to the locale system.
It seems that in BibleTime we can only use the locales which are encoded in
the local 8bit encoding of the user. Selecting others won't work, as well as
the windows specific locales (cp*).

Hi Will,
Thanks for the new beta of MacSword; this is sweet!

Hi,
Just a quick couple of questions; apologies if they've already been
asked. When will the finalised KJV module be released? What does 1.5.7
offer over 1.5.6 and when will it be finalised. I would like to include
both in MacSword 0.4 but it is not important.
Cheers -Will

Thanks for the quick help, Will -- that did the trick. And I was
already wondering why the menus and dialogs look so very similar to
the last version :).
I'm not quite sure why I wrote "thanks for your feedback" in the last
e-mail, I meant "thanks for your good work" :). Anyway, here's some

Christian,
I've severely changed the English UI nib files. The German ones haven't
been updated in any way but are still lying around, it really wont work
with them. Open MacSword as a bundle and delete the German, French and
pt.lproj folders, then it'll run in English and actually work.

Addendum: I tried using the service (sword://KJV/matt3.16) in Safari,
and it launches MacSword with an empty window (again, "Untitled").
