SWBasicFilter allows to change the symbols used for starting and ending tags,
for starting and ending escape strings. Why this feature? Should it also be
present in our "XML-like" parser? Should the XML symbols =, ', and " also be
changeable?

first of all -- I discovered the Sword Project a few days ago, and I
