Well, I've written a library interface to Sword. Right now I'm sure it
works with 1.5.2 because I've tested it. It links directly to the
library for maximum speed.
The package is attached. The README has full docs. Here is an example

However, my vote would be for OpenSword. Here is why:
- A good name can be made by combining two known words. (easy to remember)
- "Bible" is more 'churchy' than Sword
Sounds like a daunting task Chris, but I would be interested in being
involved. I don't know how much time I can devote to the project, but the
reason I joined this list originally was when I repaired the errors in the

If the name of one product with a registered TM name can be confused with
the name of a newer product, then the newer product's name was not a safe
choice. I would say one Bible product named Open Bible could be confused
with another Bible product named OpenBible.
