As mentioned here as a possibility, we (Blue Ripple Sound) have got around
to packaging up a set of POA (Plain Old Ambisonic) VST decoder plugins that
parallel the higher resolution TOA ones. Never let it be said that we don't
listen to our users ;-)

It's more likely to have been the experimental mixes Peter and I created
for the Boots Ambisonic Microsystem. "Another Surprise" and "Surprise,
Surprise" were both made in 1984. There would have been a track
reminiscent of Popcorn, some orchestral tracks and other material;
perhaps
Such fun!
I’m about to build a cube in my office in huntingdon — the little Adam A3X
speaker is excellent for this. Going to use exhibition stand framework
stuff to build a cube onto which I can mount arbitrary arrangements of
speakers. Will be fun to decode all my B format stuff into a real cube

Richard had a similar demo at that course, too. That was the first time when
I heard Ambisonics.
