Many thanks to Peter Craven for his clarification and much needed correction
to my incorrect reading of Stephen Thornton's paragraph on the 'Soundfield
microphone', It is on such errors that myths & sayings could be based.
On rereading this paragraph I do understand the construction I initially
looks like srs labs has an improved version of ambisonics. I wonder what the
list thinks of there tech. Link:
