Hi Augustine, It uses anything that's USB2 compatible. Stick, harddisk, MP3 player (if the MP3 player has a disk-like operating mode)... It's also a USB audio interface. And there's a recorder counterpart, the LR16. No preamps, so it is very affordable. Cheers, Wim 2017-06-
