Hey folks,
I may be a bit late to joining this discussion. But I am trying to do the
exact same thing in Max.
Augustine, can you describe your setup? Are you encoding the audio in Max?
Where is the decoding being done?

This is a great video! I am looking forward to seeing more,
especially room correction.
I would also love to see some videos on using these
tools to create new timbres. For example live instruments
convolved with interesting sounds.
Thanks,
Anthony

Hey folks,
I am looking to setup an ambisonic sounds system for use in music
performance.
I apologize if this subject has come up already, but I tried searching the
email archive, the search feature does not work!
The general idea is to have multiple audio tracks encoded in Max/MSP and
then
send
Thanks!

Does any one know if somethings like this exists for MAX/MSP?

I am very interested in this as well. I have been thinking about
taking the 3d audio plunge and would like to figure out
what kind of setup I would need.
I would also be interested in knowing what you guys are
using to do the encoding of the audio streams.

Hey Jörn,
Thanks for the info, this is just what I was looking for.
The video was very informative, I will study the paper as well.
Thanks for your help.

I could use Ambisonic Max externals or
Malham's VST mixer modules.
Can someone give me an idea what I should do on the decode side?
Is there some hardware decoder I need to get? Should I use another
computer and use a software decoder?
Thanks,
Anthony

I am very interested in this as well. I would like to eventually add
multichannel
capabilities to my performances.
I would also add the question...
If I want the setup to be scalable, that is to be able to go from a 4
channel cube
to a 12 channel configuration, what do I need to keep in mind?
