Hi Pavel,
Are you using XFCE per chance? There is a bug where the screen stays
black when exiting the screensaver, which would have been activated when
you closed the lid.
A workaround is to turn off "Display fullscreen overlay windows
directly" in Settings Manager -> Window Manager Tweaks -
I have seen this sort of panic twice now on 2 separate machines when
restarting telegraf the odd time. Does this look familiar to anyone ?
On a 14.2R this popped up

Not sure why I didn't see it before and only started seeing it now.
