hi,
I was wondering if in clients in a nat environment need to be in the dmz or
need to have ports forwarded for kamailio to be used to connect the clients? I
have setup kamailio with the nat settings but am still only getting one way
audio. chances are it has not been setup correctly but jus
ctions are
executed.
Also, probably you have to advertise the public ip address of your
ec2 instance -- see second parameter for rtpproxy module functions.

Hi,
I am working on a project where a custom sip client will be integrated into a
suite of applications to provide voip. The sip client will be working with
Kamailio. The goal is to ensure that the client is authorized for
communication with kamailio before allowing any calls to be made.
I was wondering if simple presence can work over port 5061 or if it always goes
over 5060. my client (jitsi) is configured to work over port 5061, xcap is
configured to work over port 5061 but I am still seeing some messages flowing
over port 5060. any ideas as to what is going on?

hi,
I have two kamailio 3.3.4 servers sharing one database. usrloc module is
loaded on both machines. The DNS name for the machines is shared (i.e
siptest.testdomain.com with 2 public ip's - one for Server1 and one for
Server2) and setup in round robin mode.
The scenario is as follows:User
d one dns
name
I dont think it works like that, obviously the server 1 does not have a
connection if the user is registered on server 2.

Didn't read the whole thread, but, in some clients you need to specify the
transport is TLS and the port is 5061 (assuming you use the default).
Hth.

Has anyone else noticed issues when adding a large number of contacts to your
buddy list? I was using Jitsi and at about 40 contacts I was encountering
issues in that the subsequent contacts would not get added to my buddy list.

Thanks Peter! I'll try that out!!
Is there a doc that goes through how to tweak Kamailio into production mode?
What about having two Kamailio servers sharing one db and allowing calls
between the two servers to be completed? That's another hurdle I've yet to get
over.
