I posted about this a couple of weeks ago, and have not recieved feedback.
When using "spamassassin" it works fine, but uses resources like crazy.
when using spamc/spamd, every mail that comes through is passes every
test. resulting in a spam score of 0.0

The first recipe, change spamc to spamassassin and see if it works correctly?
I'm having the same issue you mention with spamc/spamd always giving a
score of 0/0 but spamassassin works.
