I'm having a problem trying to install spamassassin locally (my provider's
box crashed, and the new one doesn't have it installed site-wide):
I run:
perl Makefile.PL PREFIX=~/sausr SYSCONFDIR=~/saetc
and then
make ; make install
This is the error I get:
mkdir /usr/local/lib/per

Thanks for getting back to me - this isn't a huge problem, but it's been
driving me mad. I should better explain my setup:
- accessing pine (and mailboxes) directly - ssh'ing into the server (i.e.
no IMAP)
- server is running QMail
My procmail recipe is as follows:

I've got spamassassin running (gave up on the local install and convinced
my sysadmin to install globally), and it seems to be filtering really
well.
The only problem is that the mailboxes it's dumping mail into are
unreadable by pine - specifically, the mailbox shows up as one HUGE
