After following the steps listed at
http://www.smartmontools.org/wiki/FAQ#SmartmontoolsDatabase I am still
unable to locate my HDD in the smart database. PFA the output to
smartctl -q noserial -x /dev/sdX

Description: Binary data

The SSD that came with my new laptop is not yet recognized by smartctl.
I followed the instructions from [1] and attached the output of smartctl
-q noserial -x /dev/sda.

Very nice to see that the SMART attributes
I got a new external hard drive enclosure with JMicron USB to ATA
bridge inside. Device id is 152d:0567.
smartctl works fine with -d sat.
smartctl -d sat -a /dev/sdb
