I happen to run a small cluster that doesn't use a slurmdbd but the
plain log in a text file, accounting_storage/filetxt in slurm.conf. It
is running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and the slurm 15.08.7 provided with that.
Can someone tell me if it is normal (or at least a known bug) that with
this setup,
If you specify no cores or threads for a given job, you should end up with 1
task per node, and 1 cpu per task (see the sections for ntasks,
ntasks-per-node, and cpus-per-task at [1] and [2]).
And yes, if you have one or more 10-core systems, and submit 8 1-core jobs,
they’ll default to running

I am testing Slurm OQS for GPU partition and would like to set minimum gres=1
and maximum gres=4. However, MaxTRESPA doesn’t work for me.
sacctmgr modify qos gpu set MaxTRESPA=gres/gpu=4
You didn't give me anything to set
Does anyone know how to set limit for gpu? Also, any suggestion to
