I just succeeded to compile pscs-lite-0.3.0 and to run its test with a
Towitoko card driver (on Pentium PC with Suse 6.2).
Test resulted in "Power Up Failed". Can someone tell me what it means
and what I can do about it? I hope it hasn't been a mistake to us

Yes you are right. PC/SC looks for a valid ISO-7816-3/4 card inserted
into the reader. You are trying to use an unsupported memory card at the
moment. I can give you suggestions as to which cards to use if you want
to send me a personal email.

I'm working with Cyberflex Access card with a Towitoko reader
with pcsc-lite-0.3.0 .
I send a "Create File" APDU (the example from the Cyberflex Access
Programmer's Guide, p. 103) and I recieve a "Privilege is insufficient to
create a file".

Probably SCardConnect primitive is triying to reset
the card in the reader. If you are using a
non-processor card (I think "Towitoko PIN Security
Card" is a memmory card) this operation will fail as
far as it's not supported by the low-level driver for
this kind of cards.

Before creating a file in the MF you have to use the VerifyKey command to
gain sufficient access. Try verifying Key #0 on page 57 of the manual.
