No, I meant that the changes you made to "fix" Ali's problem had the negative
effect of losing commit notifications (even in the form of a bounce to the
committer), which is now hopefully not

IMHO you could use a single repository if it makes sense that the C core and
the bindings are well kept in sync, otherwise it's probably better to separate
repositories (especially if they have separate releases).
