I think the old (and still good) releases of pbmplus and xv still contain the GIF tools. If you do not mind wirting a UNIX script, you can make SANE store data in PNM format and then convert to GIF. There are scanner tools like Pixel!FX by Mentalix (www.mentalix.com) which handle GIF, but they are

There is several scanners like that supported by SANE. That's at least the Fujitsu, the Bell and Howell (in sane 1.07) and Panasonic scanners (will be in sane 1.08). Only A few models are supported. However this kind of scanner starts at about $2000. You can find some used on ebay. Frank. On Tue,

I'm a little new at linux scanning. I need an sheetfed scanner/app that does the following: 1. User puts a stack of documents on scanner 2. User clicks a button on an X window (or maybe they fill in a form) 3. Scanner scans everything at 200 dpi, full-duplex, preferably > 25ppm and saves it all
