I am trying to get an epson perfection 640U to work. When launching xsane
/var/log/messages comes with the following message:

In all the documentation I could not find anything about this but I might
missing somet

If you check the file /etc/modules.conf you will find that char-major-81
is an alias for bttv, the video input driver for bttv based cards.
