CVS has the hp-backend 1.06 that fixes a problem with USB-scanners on
Linux 2.6.x.

Hi Marc,
this is already in SANE-CVS. You can pick up the current state from CVS
or just the hp-backend from http://www.kirchgessner.net
This backend will not switch off the light. But it gives you a button
where you can switch it off yourself.

I have a HP C6270A scanner and use XSane to scan images. But i've a little

Apparently the 1.0.5 backend switches of the light of the scanner after each
and every scan. Version 1.0.3 does not do this, but leaves the light on. I'm
sure it is better to leave the light
