scanimage --format=pnm --mode Color --source "ADF Duplex" --buffermode On
--ald=yes --page-height=5500mm -y 5500mm --buffermode=On --resolution
150dpi --format=pnm --batch="test_crop_des
You need to use the --page-height and -y params to tell the scanner
how big of an image you want. scanimage --help will show you more
options.

I am building a system with an fujitsu ix500 connected to an Raspberry PI
running sane and scanbd.
I have one issue scanning pages longer than 14 Inches. The scanner stops
scanning after reading about 14Inces of the page.
